Lee Broom

Now I'm sure you, like me, have been drooling over Mr. Brooms Decanterlights for the last little while. They've been everywhere, in all sorts of beautiful spaces doing all sorts of beautiful things. HOWEVER up until today I hadn't taken the time to look through all of his other creations (slap on the wrist for that one, I've been missing out). I guess it's safe to say that I've fallen in love. I would like the Salon Armchair for my bedroom please and thank you. Those gold studs.... mmmmmm.... they're pretty sexy.

Now although I don't want these in my bedroom, I would eventually (when I am oh so rich and have the perfect home) want them in my house. Everywhere. I present to you, the Carpetry Console and Pendant Light. On second thoughts I would like the White Pendant in my room now.

Now Mr. Broom has also designed the Parq range which I was pushed to find a favourite of, BUT if I HAD to pick, I would have to choose the Parq Life Sideboard... Isn't it just delightful?!

And last, but definitely not least, there are the beautiful shiny golden lights (from the One Light Only range). Oh please, Mr. Broom, take me now...

Cockatoo Island

Earlier this year, I believe I posted about what I was sure would be my new obsession: Cockatoo Island, Building #2. Well I've been meaning to go back to that but yadda yadda, things get in the way... Guess it's time to knock it over!
Although I started out by throwing myself into this project and really truly loving it, the romance soon faded and I found that it really dragged on. Fantastic experience overall and I was happy with what I produced, however it was completely different from what I first had in mind... which can be seen as both a good and bad thing!
The final concept for this project was LINK, which challenged me in many different ways. At first I resisted the concept but eventually decided to embrace it and run with it, and it all worked out quite well. So LINK was the concept and the purpose of the building was for it to be transformed into a bridal retreat and a place for women to go together to bond and celebrate. I'll just give you a rough little snapshot of what I transformed this building in to...

I've been naughty

Lately I have been busy but lazy, and very naughty by not posting anything. Perhaps that is the reason for my lack of motivation and desire to do anything except for looking up European hotels and B&B's in New York and basically anything to do with my trip next year?
However BECAUSE I've been so incredibly bad and not posted anything I am most likely going to have a bit of word/photo/info vom ('scuse the crude).
So please either grab your glasses and settle into a comfy chair or blur out my ramble! It might take a few days...

The first and only thing I really feel like saying today, is:

More later.

Need to Read

With the filming of the Great Gatsby due to start in Sydney in August, I'm feeling the desire to pick up this book... Maybe going back to reading will be a little spot of peace in what I'm sure is going to be an overwhelming final Semester of College? Plus it will probably give me a conversation starter for when I accidentally run into Leo.

I wish everyone got around looking as glamorous as this... The world would be such a pretty place!
